Description: Marshall Brown are delighted to have secured their first project for Northern Irish contractor McAleer & Rushe Limited. Having previously completed the curtain walling and window package on Edinburgh’s first Hampton by Hilton hotel in Fountainbridge. The main contractor believed they were the perfect partner for this project due to their invaluable design expertise and knowledge of the clients key performance requirements.
The construction of the new build hotel on the site of the former immigration police station Saltire House and adjoining carpark began as a 175-bedroom Hampton by Hilton hotel with a planning application submitted during construction for an increased 240-bed hotel and subsequently approved.
The building is 6 storeys with all hotel services at Ground Floor level and bedrooms above ground on levels 1 to 5. The scheme also includes the construction of an adjoining 75 space car park behind the hotel
